Credits

Every animal photo on PZ2 Guide is a real photograph from Wikimedia Commons, used under a free licence. None comes from Planet Zoo 2 or from Frontier Developments.

Licences

Of the 136 photos, 105 are licensed CC BY-SA, 26 CC BY and 5 CC0. We crop and resize each photo for the page; the cropped versions stay under the same licence as the original. Each photo links to its original file, where the full licence terms and any other details from the photographer are.

For 2 species we could not find a freely licensed photo of the animal itself, so the page shows a close relative and says so under the photo: Javanese Cownose Ray (shown: Oman cownose ray, Rhinoptera jayakari); Mexican Redknee (shown: red-knee tarantula, Brachypelma smithi).

The icons, the small world maps and the charts are our own work. The world maps are drawn from Natural Earth outlines, which are in the public domain. Photos were checked on 20 October 2026. If you took one of these photos and want the credit changed, email the address on the contact page.
