Planet Zoo 2 DLC, Game Pass and PS Plus
The Deluxe Upgrade Pack is the only add-on Frontier has announced. On DLC, Frontier's FAQ says the team is "fully focused on launch" and has nothing to share about future content. Frontier also says it has "nothing to share" about Game Pass or PS Plus.
Check AI summaries against the official pages. On 24 September 2026, Google's AI answer for "planet zoo 2 deluxe vs standard" showed the UK prices of £39.99 and £54.99 as $39.99 and $54.99, and its answer for "planet zoo 2 dlc" named a "blue and gold macaw" instead of the Blue and Gold Fusilier. The Frontier pages linked above give the correct prices and species.
Which edition should you get?
Get the Deluxe Edition if you want the Golden Eagle, Great Hammerhead or any of the other four species at launch; they are not in the base game. Otherwise, the Standard Edition has every feature and the full base-game roster. Check the full animal list to see what the base game already includes, and the release date and unlock time page for when you can play.
